Unit tests for unknown hook type tolerance

Default switch case changed from `return nil, fmt.Errorf(...)` to `return nil, nil`

Node.js 20 actions are deprecated. The following actions are running on Node.js 20 and may not work as expected: extractions/setup-crate@4993624604c307fbca528d28a3c8b60fa5ecc859.
