Format files submitted by API

Dear GitHub community, I am storing my make.com scenario files in GitHub for documenting and would like to see changes at any time.

Currently I am creating the files in my repo using the API and my problem is that the file is not formatted but instead everything is in one line of code which makes seeing changes very hard.

Is there a way to a) upload formatted JSON to the API or b) have an automation set up that formats the file as soon as there is a change?
