A few days ago there was an update to email notification template, design. It looks good, but it's on white background only.

It is so bright. It's hard to read for me. Compared with older version, it's not better to me.
Please add support for dark background, theme.

For me, this seems only to affect comments and issue opening posts, which seems to be because Apple's Mail is using the HTML email option because the comment emails contain the sender's avatar picture.

By contrast merge, commit push and pull request opening posts, do not display the avatar picture and so render as plain text mode and use the system default's mode (i.e. dark).

But yes, I would very much like this, or at least a workaround, e.g. disable HTML rendering of emails in Apple Mail for a specific mailbox.

Don't HTML email also display fine (i.e. with a dark background) as long as the HTML doesn't set the background and foreground colors, but leave them unspecified, for the email client to determine, or something?
