Ability to upload Mac Numbers documents

It's surprisingly not possible to upload a .numbers file produced by the Numbers application on a Mac. XLS and XLSX are available, and while the Numbers file could be exported to Excel format - it makes sense for this to be supported by default without having to export as another format
