In the past, if someone updated a PR while we were reviewing, there'd be an orange note that shows up telling us it was updated, but letting us keep reviewing that "snapshot" of their PR. But in the past week or two, I'm seeing a lot of red banners when I try to leave a comment saying, "Diff updated..." and I can't submit my comment. So I have to copy the text (manual task some may not consider), refresh, then find my place and paste the comment in. Fortunately, any other comments I left seem to remain because of how you use persistent browser storage, but refreshing an active PR review certainly makes me nervous.
This is a productivity killer, especially for large PRs where I have to remember where I was leaving a comment.
Please go back to the helpful but non-blocking experience of just telling us it was updated and let us make the decision to refresh. If the comment(s) we left are no longer relevant, like we've been doing for the past many years the reviewers or contributor can resolve as needed.
