Github Action job running forever, but all steps are finished

We use macOS 15 runner images, but lately (since last week) our actions are showing as successful, but the status is never returned to pull requests. Our pull requests require a successful build, which means we can't merge the pull requests. When we open the details for the action it shows that the job are still running, but all the steps are completed in the job. We have not done any changes to our workflow in a couple of months.
