Pulse page shows "0 files changed" despite valid commits

Hello GitHub Support,

My repository https://github.com/YD525/PhoenixEngine has over 20 valid commits with actual file changes (insertions and tracked files), but the Pulse page still shows “0 files changed, 0 additions, 0 deletions”.

I have tried:

Adding new files and pushing new commits

Waiting several days

Forcing file changes that should definitely register

Yet Pulse statistics remain frozen. Could this be a backend caching issue?
Please help verify and refresh the Pulse stats for my repo.

Here’s what’s likely going on:
1. Pulse only tracks changes in the default branch (usually main or master) and within the last week by default.
• If your commits are in a different branch, or outside the 7-day window, they won’t show up.
• You can’t customize the time range on the Pulse page directly — it always shows data for the last 7 days.
2. Merges and rebases may affect visibility.
• If you’re pushing changes via non-linear histories or merging via squash commits, the Pulse metrics might not reflect them clearly.
• Changes in forks or PRs that haven’t been merged to the default branch won’t count either.
3. Empty commits or trivial changes may be ignored.
• If the commits technically exist but don’t change tracked files (like only changing .gitignore, deleting ignored files, or touching untracked files), they might not register.

How to verify:
• Check that your commits are on the default branch (main or master).
• Confirm that those commits happened within the past 7 days.
• Make sure the changes were to tracked, committed files — not ignored or deleted-only files.
• Try viewing commit activity via Insights > Contributors, which often shows more reliable commit data.
