"Open source was the cheat code I didn’t know I needed."

I started out just building static sites for school projects, but the moment I pushed my first collaborative repo live and saw someone clone, fork, and improve it — that was the moment it clicked.
Project that hooked me:
A dynamic recipe website I built solo. It was basic — just data from JS objects. But uploading it, getting feedback, and seeing others remix it? Game-changing.

What I’ve learned:
Code isn't precious; it's meant to evolve.
Naming things is harder than writing logic.
Good docs are underrated.
Real dev growth happens in PR comments.

Shoutout to:
All the maintainers who review PRs at midnight, write clean readmes, and welcome beginners like me. You make open source less scary and more human.

Why I code:
To solve real problems. To build cool stuff. To learn out loud. And because the "aha!" moment after fixing a bug at 2AM is unmatched.
