New Github Education application process doesn't have a way to upload documents for users without cameras. #168621

This is a horrible part of the application process, and a problem that I also faced. However, I was able to find a workaround. I loaded up OBS Studio, added the images to a scene, and then used OBS as a virtual camera, which makes it act as a webcam. Then, when I hit start virtual camera, I selected OBS Virtual Cam as my camera in-browser and just took a picture of the picture I had loaded on up on the OBS scene. It's silly that we even have to do this, and I feel silly even explaining that this is how I accomplished getting around a missing upload field. The really bad part comes when you hit "Submit Application," and the form just resets itself in an endless loop that never gets submitted. That's currently where I'm stuck. Good luck, friend. |

Would it be possible to have some sort of location where we can upload documents to? My documents were rejected even though they satisfy the requirements of stating my institution and not just having the logo. |

hellow fellows, Although they accept photos, they do accept PDFs. You don't need a camera, but the upload option should appear. The problem is that in some browsers that section does not load correctly due to a JavaScript or CSS bug. |

This happened to me as well. In order to upload the digital PDF file, you first need to fail the registration on your initial attempt. Once you fail the first attempt, the "Upload PDF" button becomes available. At that point, you can upload the file, fill in the required information, and get approved. |
