Is GitHub Copilot available on other IDEs like WindSurf or only on VS Code and JetBrains?
I know GitHub Copilot is officially supported on Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, and JetBrains IDEs, but I’m wondering if it can also be used on other IDEs like WindSurf (or similar lightweight/custom ones).
Is there a way to integrate it manually, or are we limited to officially supported platforms?

Copilot is only officially supported on VS Code, Visual Studio, Neovim, and JetBrains IDEs (IntelliJ, PyCharm, WebStorm, etc.).
It doesn’t provide an API or plugin system you can just drop into other IDEs like WindSurf.

You can still use Copilot Chat or CLI (gh copilot) alongside any editor, but for inline completions you’re limited to the officially supported IDEs.
