Hi everyone,
I must admit that applying for the student developer pack has been beyond frustrating. My graduate program is remote and I came to realize after my first denial that I needed that documented. I went to submit information and the submission process for my school is broken. I t gets fixed....then submit and I showed that it's only online along with many other documents (as many as I could fit into a page for the stupid picture and be legible.) Then I am told, despite my name and enrollment being documented on official letterhead with my student ID that I needed a note stating the program is remote on official letterhead.
I get the registrar to add a note on my registration verification document that includes my name (same as on my profile), academic school that matches my .edu email (rejection stated I needed to make sure my academic affiliation matched on school letterhead which I had) , showing enrollment, with dates.....and a note from the registrar stating that I am in a remote program. Denied. All of which not only checks the boxes of every point you guys have under documentation but exceeds it.
This denial came back so fast I highly doubt anyone put eyes on it and if they did...clearly didn't read it but I am sure it was a bot. If it is a bot you guys have approving these submissions then why on earth are you forcing people to take crappy pictures instead of allowing us to upload PDFs.
I'm not convinced this student developers pack isn't just a publicity stunt that you guys don't actually give out but love to virtu signal as "supporting education". I've seen some stupid things and this whole process has got to be near the top. I am not going to post my official document in here for privacy reasons and would be happy to share it with a community moderator.
However, I am not sure that unless I can get the president of the university to show up at your HQ to swear under oath with triple notary signed documents including birth certificate, proof of location, enrollment, recent doctors note stating that I am alive, financial information from my loan to match my schools receipt, my high school diploma, a perfect 3D rendering of my head to compare to 5 images for facial recognition, and a blood sacrifice to Copilot to prove my worthiness, it would do any good anyways.
