I haven't received any email notifications. This email is a scam, and the source repository has been deleted. I can't cancel this notification.

I have a same issue. Look like this issue related to ycombinatoor's repos but it doesn't exist 😭.

i have the same issue. the number of mentions seem to rise. For me it's those organizations: devgthub,ycombinator and paradgm

That's crazy, I've never seen that before, open a ticket so they can resolve it.

As you can see, there is no notification in my email list and notifications that needs to be cancelled, so there is no way to delete it.

This is a case of stale notifications:

When a repository is deleted, GitHub sometimes fails to clean up related alerts.

The unsubscribe button may not work because the source no longer exists.

Suggested Fix
One user offered a workaround:

“You can clear it by marking the notification as ‘Done’ directly in your notifications inbox on GitHub. That will remove it from your queue even if the repository is gone.”

If the issue persists or affects multiple repositories, it's best to open a support ticket with GitHub so they can manually clean up the broken alerts.
