This error usually means GitHub can’t properly detect an active Copilot Pro entitlement on your account, even if the payment went through. A few things to check: Go to Settings → Billing & plans → Copilot and confirm that Copilot Pro (not just GitHub Pro) shows as Active on your account If your company card or organization is involved, make sure a Copilot seat is actually assigned to your user Sign out and back into GitHub in your editor to refresh the license If everything looks correct and the error still appears, this is likely an account/billing sync issue on GitHub’s side, and you’ll need to contact GitHub Support with a screenshot of your Copilot subscription status |
