Cursor Agent Still Appearing in Contributor List After Rewriting Git History

Hi guys,

I’m seeing a stale contributor entry on my repository and would like your help clearing it:

• Repository: https://github.com/Git-with-gideon/EWDGroup-13
• Unwanted contributor shown: Cursor Agent <cursoragent@cursor.com>

Previously, one commit on master contained this trailer in its message:

Co-authored-by: Cursor cursoragent@cursor.com

To remove this, I did the following:

1. Reset my local master to match origin/master:

git checkout master
git reset --hard origin/master

2. Rewrote commit messages on master to delete that exact Co-authored-by line:

  'sed "/^Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>$/d"' master

3. Verified locally that there are no remaining references:

git log origin/master --grep='Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com>' --all
# no results

git log --format='%h %an <%ae>' | grep -i cursor || echo "no cursor authors"
# no cursor authors

Force-pushed the cleaned history:

git push origin master --force-with-lease

As far as I can see, there are no commits or authors associated with cursoragent@cursor.com left in the repository’s history.

However, the Contributors tab still shows “Cursor Agent” as a contributor.

Is there any known solution to this so far?

This should work, change TARGET_NAME and TARGET_EMAIL
