Yes, you can track user prompts in some Microsoft Copilot products, but not in others. In Microsoft 365 Copilot (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.), admins can see the exact prompts users typed and Copilot's responses through Microsoft Purview audit logs and eDiscovery. In GitHub Copilot, Microsoft does not show or log the actual prompt text for privacy reasons; only usage counts are visible to admins. Custom copilots created in Copilot Studio also do not give admins access to the complete prompt history. The bottom line is that tracking exact prompts is mainly possible in enterprise Microsoft 365 Copilot through compliance tools, not in coding or custom agent versions.
