I have been using the GitHub mobile app and I really appreciate the work you have put into it. However, I would like to suggest two improvements for the file editor:
Syntax Highlighting — When editing code files, there is no syntax highlighting (color coding for keywords, strings, functions, etc.). This makes it very difficult to read and understand the code, especially for larger files.
Line Numbers — The file editor does not show line numbers. Line numbers are essential for navigating code and identifying specific lines quickly.
These two features would greatly improve the code editing experience on mobile. Many developers rely on the GitHub app for quick edits and these additions would make a huge difference.
Thank you for considering this feedback. Keep up the great work!
Best regards
