Forks aren't sorted and can't be sorted in the Github for Android app (1.250.0)

You're right — forks are not sorted (and there's no sort option at all) in the GitHub for Android app right now, even on the latest version 1.250.0. This is a known limitation of the mobile app (the web version has full sorting by Newest / Oldest / Stargazers / etc., but the app doesn't yet).

Fastest workaround (takes 10 seconds on your phone):

1. Open the repository in Chrome (or any browser) on your Android phone.
2. Tap the ⋮ menu at the top right → turn on "Desktop site".
3. Scroll down to the Forks section (or just add /forks to the repo URL).
4. Tap the sort dropdown that now appears and pick:
   • Newest
   • Oldest
   • Stargazers
   • etc.

Done — instantly sorted forks! ✅

Even simpler long-term option:

Just bookmark the repo and open it in your browser with "Desktop site" always on. The mobile app is great for issues/PRs/notifications, but the full website still wins for forks.

GitHub already has this on their internal roadmap (sorting/filtering on repository screens in the mobile app), so it should arrive in a future update. In the meantime the browser trick works perfectly.
