Hi, I had used copilot and Claude Sonnet 4.6 before, and it was amazing, however today it is ridiculously different!, it is taking ages to do a single simple task ove my repo, I have asked Claude to change a page layout from 3 columns to 1 just to check if it was due to something else but no!. it has been about 10 minutes changing the layout from 3 to 1 columns from a single page!. is anyone else experiencing this issue?

A few possible reasons:

1. High server load
If many users are using Copilot/Claude at the same time, responses can become significantly slower.

2. Agent mode complexity
Copilot Agent Mode sometimes processes multiple steps (planning, reasoning, editing), which can increase latency even for simple tasks.

3. Network or API delays
Temporary network issues or API latency can cause long response times.

4. Context size
If your workspace or prompt has a lot of context (large files, multiple tabs), it can slow things down.

Things you can try:

• Restart VS Code
• Reload the window (Ctrl + Shift + P → Reload Window)
• Try switching models (if available)
• Test with a smaller/simple prompt
• Check your internet connection

I can confirm that. The last days all Claude Models took ages to respond or work. Normally I use 2 agents to delegate work to in my workflow, but in nearly every prompt I did there was an error with a minimum of one agent aborting or exiting. The latest thing is now, that the whole conversation aborted with an execution error in the chat. After telling to carry on were the agent aborted it works until the next error.
The maximum downside of everything is, that each now prompt costs a premium requests against the usage.

Update to that: Now the Claude Agent errors out directly after sending the prompt. I think there is a major issue with the backend ongoing?!
