Hi everyone,

My GitHub student pack showing Your application has been received and is currently pending review. For 3 days

Hey Ajit, that's completely normal. A lot of students (including myself) register for the Student Pack, which leads to a longer waiting time. Usually, the time given is a bit exaggerated, and your pack should be approved in around 1-2 days! If your pack is still pending review for over a week, send an email to GitHub Support.

This is normal. A 3-day wait is not unusual for GitHub Student Developer Pack verification.

A few key points:

1. Review time varies
   GitHub doesn’t guarantee instant approval. It can take anywhere from a few days to 1–2 weeks depending on:

   • Number of applications in queue
   • Verification method (document vs school email)
   • Manual review requirements

2. “Pending review” means no issue yet
   Your application is still in the queue. It does not indicate rejection or a problem.

3. When to take action

   • If it crosses 7–10 days, then consider checking:

     • Your email (including spam) for verification requests
     • Whether your submitted documents are clear and valid

4. Avoid reapplying
   Submitting multiple applications can delay the process further.

5. If it takes too long
   After ~10 days, you can contact GitHub Education support:
   https://support.github.com/

3 days is too early to worry. Just wait a bit longer.

Yeh, it depends on reviewer availability and queue size and in many cases it's faster
