I'm writing to follow up on my GitHub Student Developer Pack application, which I submitted on March 19, 2026. My GitHub username is niezhili, and my application has been in "pending review" status for 12 days as of today.

I have carefully checked my registered email inbox, including the spam and promotions folders, and have not received any notification requesting additional verification materials or supplementary information.

I would be very grateful if the support team could inform me of the current review progress of my application, or let me know if there is any additional document or information I need to provide to complete the verification process.

This kind of delay is actually pretty common with the GitHub Student Developer Pack, so you’re not alone.

Usually, applications are first checked automatically, and if something isn’t super clear, they get pushed into a manual review queue. When that happens, it can take a bit longer, so being in “pending” for around 10–14 days is still within the normal range.

A few things you can do on your side

1. Double-check your documents
   Make sure whatever you submitted clearly shows:

Your full name (matching your GitHub profile)
A recent, valid date (2025–2026)
Good image quality (not blurry or cropped)

If you think your document might be unclear, uploading a better one can actually help speed things up.

Good options include:

Student ID card (with validity visible)
Bonafide certificate
Recent fee receipt
Screenshot from your college portal

2. Add your college email (if you have one)
   If you have a student email (like .edu or your college domain), add and verify it in your GitHub account. This sometimes helps reduce verification delays.

Hey! This is actually pretty normal.

The GitHub Student Developer Pack review can take anywhere from a few days up to a few weeks, depending on the volume of applications.

A few things to keep in mind:

• 12 days is still within a normal waiting range
• You won’t receive emails unless additional info is required or your application is approved/rejected
• Make sure your student proof is clear and valid (ID, school email, etc.)

If it takes more than ~2–3 weeks, then it might be worth contacting GitHub Education support directly.

For now, I’d recommend just waiting a bit longer.
