Copilot Code Review
Body
The web-based GitHub Copilot PR reviewer catches issues (dead code, API contract violations, persistence mapping errors, etc.) that the IDE-based Copilot Chat cannot replicate — even when using a detailed self-review prompt.
The local self-review workaround requires manually maintaining rules in .github/prompts/self-review.prompt.md and iteratively back-porting findings from PR reviews. This creates unnecessary PR review cycles.
Request: Expose the same review analysis that runs on PRs as an IDE action (e.g. "Review my staged changes" or "Review diff against main") in the JetBrains and VS Code plugins. This would let developers catch issues before pushing, reducing review round-trips.
