Hey GitHub Mobile team! 👋
I've been using GitHub Mobile daily for managing my Android open-source projects, and I have to say — the 2026 navigation refresh looks absolutely great on Android. The dark theme with the new bottom nav feels polished and modern.
However, there's one feature that's been missing for a long time and would make a huge difference for mobile-first developers like me:
📁 Creating a Repository directly from GitHub Mobile
Right now, to create a new repo, I have to:
This completely breaks the flow, especially when you're on the go and have a quick idea you want to start working on immediately.
What I'd love to see:
This would be a natural extension of the existing "New Issue" and "New PR" flows already in the app. The groundwork is clearly there.
Given how powerful GitHub Mobile has become with Copilot agent sessions and live notifications, the ability to create a repo from scratch on mobile feels like the missing piece for a truly end-to-end mobile dev experience.
Thanks for the continued great work on the app! 🙌
