yeah this changed recently, a lot of people are running into the same thing you don’t actually need a .edu email, but if you don’t have one, the verification becomes stricter. github now relies more on manual document verification in those cases what you can try: apply using your personal email (no problem) a lot of rejections happen because: document is blurry / cropped also avoid uploading too many documents at once — just one clear, official document works better if your college doesn’t provide .edu email, that’s fine, many people still get approved this way, it just takes a bit more effort now if it keeps failing, best option is to open a support ticket and ask for manual review you’re definitely not alone here, this is happening to a lot of students after the policy changes |

so i want to take the github students pack, i already used it a year, before then the .edu mail was not necessary, but now it shows its necessary, as aa degree student i want to renew my students pack but can't because of the .edu mail policy, my college didn't provided the .edu mail but its a degree college autonomous. I want the subscription asap on my github account to do my major projects and assignments also to add more things in my notion etc. etc.
