Hi @dhruvinsarkar, I'm really sorry this happened to you, especially as a young developer. This is stressful, but there is a path forward. What You Need to Know
What You Should Do Now✅ Wait patiently — opening multiple tickets will slow things down [citation:5] ✅ Check your spam/junk folder daily for GitHub responses ✅ Be ready to appeal — if denied, use GitHub's official appeal form: https://support.github.com/contact/appeal [citation:1] ❌ DO NOT create a new account — GitHub warns this creates more problems [citation:2] A Note on Your Age (16)GitHub's Terms of Service require users to be at least 13. You're fine. Just mention your age isn't the issue. HopeThis sucks, but most suspended users who did nothing wrong eventually get their accounts back. It just takes time and patience. Good luck — and keep checking that email (including spam folder)! |

Hey everyone,
I'm hoping someone here has dealt with something similar and can give me some guidance.
I was using my GitHub account normally today and after refreshing the page, I got a message saying my account was suspended for a Terms of Service violation. No prior warning, no email explaining what happened, nothing — it was completely out of nowhere.
I'm 16, and this account has years of my personal projects and code on it. It genuinely means a lot to me, both personally and for my future in tech. I've already submitted a support ticket through the official channel, but I wanted to reach out here too in case anyone has advice or has been through something similar.
I'm not sure what triggered it I wasn't doing anything unusual. Has anyone experienced a sudden automated suspension like this? Did you get it resolved? Any advice on what to include in a follow-up or how long the process typically takes would mean a lot.
Thanks in advance.
