Hello,

I am writing this to request assistance from GitHub Staff regarding a repository ownership transfer.

I have legally acquired the "Luna Hop" project and all associated intellectual property from Arumdamda Co., Ltd. (주식회사 아름담다) through an Asset Purchase Agreement during the former owner's bankruptcy process in April 2026.

As I am on a GitHub Free plan, I am unable to open a direct support ticket for this issue. However, since this involves legal ownership and private assets, I need a manual review by the GitHub support team to transfer the private repositories to my account.

I have all the necessary legal evidence, including the purchase agreement and court-approved documents, ready for submission.

Could a staff member please guide me on how to proceed or open a formal ticket for me?

First, you can contact GitHub Support even on a Free plan for this situation. GitHub explicitly allows Free users to open tickets for "account, security, and abuse issues" — and legal ownership disputes qualify[citation:2].

What You Need to Do:

Step 1: Contact Support directly here:

Select "Account" → "I need help with repository ownership transfer"

Step 2: Attach these documents to your ticket:

• Asset Purchase Agreement (redacted as needed)
• Court-approved bankruptcy documents
• Proof of your identity

Step 3: The former owner (Arumdamda Co., Ltd.) must initiate the transfer if they still have access. They go to repo → Settings → Danger Zone → "Transfer"[citation:1][citation:10]. You'll receive an email to accept.

If they no longer exist/cannot cooperate: GitHub Support can manually review your legal documents and assist with ownership transfer. This is rare, but possible with proper court documentation.

Important: Make sure your account has the same email you used in the legal documents. Support will verify your identity before proceeding.
