Server error 502 when verifying student status for Github Education

Trying to upload my student transcript as a JPG (does not accept PDF for whatever reason) for my verification, I am getting:

I encountered a similar issue re-verifying my eligibility - visiting https://education.github.com/benefits returned a "502 Bad Gateway" error page. Oddly, accessing it in an incognito window fixed the issue.

In my case I got the 502 error page after I uploaded my student card. Since then when I tried to access the benefits url I would get the 502 error (as long as I'm signed in with the github account that I requested the student benefits for)
About 4 days later I got access to the benefits. Now when I go to the benefits url I no longer get the 502 error. There is a sign in button at the top right, when I click that I get redirected to the GitHub Global Campus portal where I have access to the benefits.

My github is labeled as a pro account which implies i have either a pro account or an education plan (which is obviously the case for me). However, i never received confirmation for the student developer pack and can't see any benefits in my account. When i try to apply to check if i got the package i get the 502 error.

Same, but I have found a solution. When you are on the 502 error page, delete all of your cookies from github, refresh and try again.

Same here, I have the pro label on my profile, but I did not receive any verification email, nor did I receive any notification about the student pack

Problem still exists in full force. Deleting cookies and refresh did not help.
