I recognize the chars, but new to coding. Took a glance at the Unicode and HTML docs, may be off base but might make more sense to someone more experienced. The first character is a partial differential symbol, the second is the Latin Small Letter Sharp S, denoted as Eszet in German, usually represents a doubble-s character. The encodings may be calling incorrect libraries for the math and returning the last DOM object as a 0 per the partial differential symbol being neutral and the Latin Small Letter Sharp S, which is bidirectional left to right and not reordered (0). Unicode for the Partial Differential: U+2202, Latin Small Letter Sharp S: U+00DF |
