I just spotted this here - but there's no related announcement on the ARC repo, only an unmerged issue to move the docs out of preview. Is there any more info? Will we be seeing a new version above 0.4.0 soon with changes?

Agree, would appreciate more visibility on the future of the ARC project. Looks like it's actually two components in one repo (one the actions-runner-controller and the other one the runner scale set controller), but it's not clear what's the long-term vision here (ARC deprecated in favor of RS controller?)

@maxdanilov - actions-runner-controller is the "old" version of ARC (0.2.x versions), this discussion is announcing that the new auto-scaling version (0.4.0) is now out of public beta and into GA, the new version uses a combo of the controller and the scale set. For example, here are the Helm charts in the repo - the top one is the old version, the other two are required for the new version:

The docs are confusing currently as they don't match the GitHub docs, e.g. quickstart on the repo is for the old version, quickstart on github.com is for the new version. However there is a PR to update the docs which I guess will tidy all this up, and presumably only talk about the new version - possibly!
