I have multiple email addresses on my GitHub account. One of them was the email I used for a bunch of commits in my pull request.
When a project maintainer did a squash merge on my PR, GitHub used my primary email address instead of the email address on the commits.
GitHub should honor the email address of the commits, instead of the primary email address on my account.
If GitHub is not going to honor the email address of the commits, there should be an option to set an email address to use for squash merge commits on my behalf. This should be different from the setting on where to send account notifications.
