@ger5ones If I read the translation correctly, it sounds like we need a DMI based fix for the phantom codec. Are you able to get Claude to create the patch and create a PR ? |

ASUS Zenbook S14 UX5406AA (SSID 1043:1464, Panther Lake) declara um RT722 fantasma (025d:0722, UNATTACHED) no SoundWire link 3 via SSDT. Ele colide o DAI SDW3-Playback-SimpleJack com o CS42L43 real, fazendo o registro do card falhar com -EEXIST / sof_sdw probe ... -12 na default machine + function topologies.
Workaround: override ACPI forçando _STA = 0 em _SB.PC00.HDAS.IDA.SNDW.SWD0. Pedido: quirk de DMI que ignore o periférico não-atttachado, ou que filtre peers UNATTACHED ao montar a máquina dinâmica.
Solved with the help of both Gemini (even if wrong because Claude started from where Gemini got stuck) and completely by Claude/Opus 4.8.
