My dream is to make mods which are compatible with... every Minecraft version out there.
Well maybe not Indev, Infdev and Legacy. But I would definitely support versions like 1.3.2, Beta 1.7.3 and 1.12.2.
and of course the old LTS-es: 1.20.1, 1.21.1, etc.
However this is very, very time consuming.
Not only will I not be able to add new features quickly nor happily due to having to fix them for every single version, I also would have my disk space filled up with JARs of each of them.
This feature should be probably done after all API-s have not only stabilized, but also finalized - which I'm not sure if I will do such a phase, as it [finalization] would mean each API is not going to have features changed in the future.
