First Group Issue

When working on promo images for the homepage (as a part of #154 ), I encountered an odd bug:

The first group ever made is shown fine, but the message for if the user doesn't have any groups is still being displayed. It disappears after a page refresh, but should the message should be removed upon group creation.

Easy way would be to trigger a reload on group creation. Or we could just trigger a fucntion to clear that message.
