modelinterface not opening on Mac OS with Apple M1 chip

I'm trying to open modelinterface on a Mac that has the new Apple M1 chip, but I cannot get it to open. I'm wondering if this is because the modelinterface app is as an "Application" and not an "Application (Universal)" or "Application (Intel)" that would be compatible with the Apple M1 chip. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can get around this issue and open modelinterface?

A good question. I actually do not have access to any machines with the M1 chip so I can't exactly debug this. In principal it should work provided Java works on the M1 chip. Let me do a little more research and get back to you on this.

Following this... I am facing the same issue. I could run the reference scenario, but I get an error saying "file is damaged and can't be opened" when I click on ModelInterface. If I then go to run the modelinterface.jar then I get the error of "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError.org/basex/query/QueryException".
