The scenario where I know this would be useful is for units of measure. For example, we could allow a user to set their preference, and this would drive how the UOM is shown for the DRO (digital readout).
We could allow a person to select:
- Imperial, showing the speed values in inches/sec, and distance in 0.0000 inches, or
- Metric, showing the speed values in mm/sec, and distance in 0.000 mm.
