install fails on MacOS

Thanks for the report — this is an npm global-prefix permissions issue: your global node_modules isn't user-writable, and running with sudo then writes root-owned files (which is why the second attempt still failed at the same step).

The cleanest fix is to skip the npm global install entirely and use the standalone installer, which drops a self-contained binary in your home directory with no sudo:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/colbymchenry/codegraph/main/install.sh | sh

Alternatively, a Node version manager (nvm / fnm / volta) gives you a user-writable global prefix so npm i -g @colbymchenry/codegraph works without sudo.
