I am logged in correctly. I have copilot in VSCode working perfectly. Every time I try anything from the command line I get this error. Have checked my Personal Access Token and everything is enabled

Same problem and the CLI policy was enabled from the beginning of my account

Hi @joecarney @devslimbr, apologies we haven't documented the permission required for using a PAT with the CLI yet (opened #60 to track)

To authenticate with the Copilot CLI using a PAT:

1. It needs to be a fine-grained PAT: https://github.com/settings/personal-access-tokens/new
2. It must have the Copilot Requests permission enabled:
   
3. It needs to be passed via an environment variable GH_TOKEN or GITHUB_TOKEN (in order of precedence):

    GITHUB_TOKEN='github_pat_patpatpat` copilot

If someone is as foolish as me the copilot requests permission does only appear for public projects.
