Steps to reproduce

1. Deactivate workspace instructions
2. Hide current file from context
3. Feed a piece of information to the model that it should remember:

4. After the model’s answer, add a file to the context and ask about the piece of information you shared earlier:

No response

Expected behavior

The model should be aware of the previous conversation history as it is when not adding files to the context:

Actual behavior

The model forgets the conversation history completely.

Additional information

This is a very critical bug. You often will need to add files throughout a conversation, as discussions become deeper.

I tested with the latest nightly build and not observe this. Maybe you can have a try: https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/github-copilot-nightly

Note: You need to uninstall the copilot plugin before installing the nightly build

Nightly does not work for me. I get this on startup of a new workspace:

[Error] java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "com.microsoft.copilot.eclipse.core.lsp.CopilotLanguageServer.registerTools(com.microsoft.copilot.eclipse.core.lsp.protocol.RegisterToolsParams)" because "server" is null

I have investigated a bit more and I think it is because the nightly does not fall back to the Node.js-based language server when it cannot start the native binary from com.microsoft.copilot.eclipse.core.agent.win32_0.15.0.202601270459.jar?
We have to use the Node.js-based one because of #56.
