When opening a file in Visual Studio, I often get the following error: The GitHub Copilot is then completely unresponsive and throws the following exception upon typing: The copilot only starts working again after a full Visual Studio restart. |

Hi Simon, I had the exact same issue. I'm not sure if it solves your issue but what helped me was disabling "IntelliCode completions" in Visual Studio. Hope this helps. |

I am getting this error on my devlopment VM which uses the same VisulStudio account as the VS installation on my physical machine and thus syncronizes settings and extensions. I dont see any way to actually activate on the VM. |

If you all are wondering why the language pack doesn't seem to work correctly try disabling every single antivirus application that you have and create an exception in your firewall or completely disable the firewall for a moment and then try reinstalling VS as well as Copilot. |
