always getting location

I have granted the permission to obtain the address, but I always stay at the page for obtaining the location and it keeps showing "getting location". In this case, I can't continue. I need help. What should I do? Please tell me. Thank you

Try allowing permissions manually:
Go to your browser settings:
Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Location.
Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Permissions > Location.
Edge: Settings > Privacy, Search, and Services > Location.
Ensure github.com is not in the "Block" list. Add it to the "Allow" list if needed.
Alternatively, remove github.com from the permissions list to reset it, then reload the page to trigger a new permission prompt.

Also check your device settings for location.
Test your Location Access: https://whatismylocation.com to confirm your browser can retrieve your location. If it works here but not on GitHub, the issue might be specific to GitHub’s form.

if you get your exact location then issue will be specific to github

I faced a similar issue before, and here are some tips that helped me fix the “Getting location...” problem during the GitHub Education application:

• Browser Permissions: Make sure your browser and operating system both allow location access.
• System Location Settings: On Windows or macOS, check if system-level location services are turned on. Even if your browser has permission, it won’t work if the system location is off.
• Disable VPN: Turn off any VPN or proxy — these can interfere with accurate location detection.
• Try Incognito Mode: Some browser extensions can block geolocation, so incognito mode can help.
• Switch Networks: Some school or public networks block location APIs — try a different Wi-Fi or mobile hotspot.

I have the same issue but on Firefox. I also granted location access to GitHub but that's not working.
I'm on Debian Sid. The weirdest part is it worked the first try, when I submitted an application that got rejected. When I tried to reapply with new documents, the error message pops up when I try to show my location.
