Codespace support in GitHub mobile app

It would be super useful to have a mobile-friendly version of code spaces that could be used in the GitHub mobile app. While mobile is generally not my first choice for doing GitHub work, there are times on the go I get the inspiration to do something, but all I have is my phone. Unfortunately, it's not very usable in a mobile browser.

Currently one workaround is to use the Termux app + gh codespace ssh. While this works for the most part, having access to something with more robust features instead of an ssh terminal would be super useful.

A lightweight, mobile-optimized version of GitHub Codespaces would be incredibly useful. While most development is desktop-based, there are times when we want to fix a bug, write a quick idea, or review code on the go — but mobile browsers don’t handle Codespaces well.

SSH via Termux is a decent workaround, but lacks the full dev experience. Even a simplified UI with basic file editing, git, and terminal support could greatly increase flexibility — especially for mobile-first users or quick tasks.

This could make Codespaces more accessible and powerful across all devices.

@mominsarder12 indeed, especially on the mobile-first users. I've met throughout my career a lot of people doing technical work limited to mobile devices due to various reasons, and this could help bring codespace support to them without potentially complicated workarounds like Termux + ssh, or trying to use a browser window designed for desktop on a small mobile screen.
