GitHub changed the readme render? Why are my images so big?

They used to be a normal size, so it's not my fault.

I think the problem is in adding height: auto:

Question: is this a github bug and will they fix it. Or do I need to change my code?

Hello again @SuperZombi and @james-orcales

I forked @SuperZombi 's repository and tried to fix it. However, I didn't find any success.

When in VSCode's preview, it works as expected.

This issue might be on the GitHub's rendering of sanitized markdown.
Especially that multiple users are experiencing this issue.

Possible solutions that y'all can do are:

• Resize the image before uploading
• Replace the image with a badge or emoji
• Host the image

Best way for me, in my opinion, is to resize the image first and upload again in README.

Everything worked fine before. Can you roll back the sanitizer changes?

Works fine for my repos, because I use width instead of height.

I fixed it by changing height -> width. But this is a really bad github update.😡

(facepalm) Why do some people use/write height first? I always used width in my markdown's and it's still works well :3

seems setting it as width resolves it.

SOLUTION:

If current styling is set to height just simply turn it into width. That will resolve it 👍
