Hey @ZeroCool22, Step 1: Sign out of GitHub in VS Code completely:
Step 2: Restart VS Code fully. Step 3: Sign back into GitHub from VS Code, making sure to use the same account that has Copilot Pro activated. Step 4: Check the Copilot status again (via Command Palette → Why this sometimes happens:GitHub Copilot’s subscription info sometimes takes a bit to sync from your GitHub account to the VS Code extension. Logging out and back in forces a fresh token exchange. If that doesn’t work, make sure your GitHub Pro subscription is still active on GitHub Billing. Then wait a few minutes, sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes for the backend to update. Finally, Check if there are any VS Code or Copilot extension updates pending. |

Hello again @ZeroCool22, At this point, logging out/in or reinstalling the extension won’t help because the issue is upstream in GitHub Billing + Copilot entitlement. What I’d recommend right now:
If you go the refund + retry route, refunds for failed Copilot activations are usually processed pretty fast, but you’ll need to request it explicitly via that same support form. |
