GitHub Project Workflows "Add repository's issues to project" don't work if the user who created it leaves the GitHub Organization

We have GitHub Project Workflows that automatically add new open issues to our GitHub Project board. The person who created these workflows left our GitHub Organization. Now, none of these GitHub Project Workflows work. The work around is to duplicate all of those GitHub Project Workflows and delete the old ones.

Alternatively, we could create a GitHub Action workflow that uses this action to automate this instead.
