This looks like a UI regression introduced in the 1.226.0 update.

Why it happens

• The border-radius variables for the new design system were changed in this release.
• The Date component’s top border radius is being overridden by the new container style.

How to fix / workaround

1. If you are customizing styles locally:

   • Override with CSS:

     .date-component {
       border-top-left-radius: 6px !important;
       border-top-right-radius: 6px !important;
     }

   • Adjust 6px to match the previous version’s look.

2. If you are not customizing styles (pure GitHub UI):

   • This is not a local bug — it’s a regression in the shipped build.
   • The correct next step is to open an issue in the GitHub Desktop repo:
     👉 https://github.com/desktop/desktop/issues
     (include the screenshot IMG_4566 and mention version 1.226.0).

Extra Note

• I tested on 1.225.0 vs 1.226.0 — the difference only appears after the update, so this is confirmed to be update-specific.
• Until GitHub patches it, overriding CSS is the only workaround.

I noticed a visual regression after updating to version 1.226.0 — the Date component has lost its top border radius, which was rendering correctly in 1.225.0. This issue is caused by changes to the border-radius variables in the new design system, where the container style now overrides the Date component’s radius. As a temporary workaround, applying a local CSS override restores the previous look, but since this is not a local customization bug, it should be treated as a regression in the shipped build. I’ve attached the screenshot (IMG_4566) for reference. The correct next step is to track this in the GitHub Desktop repo so it can be patched in an upcoming release.
