Github student education application in progress for three months #181058

Hi everyone,Hi, I am well aware of the policy of no individual manual check ups per application, and that the student education applications may take some time to process. However, timelines I see for this are often up to several weeks, but my application has been pending since September. The reason I am posting this discussion is therefore that I am thinking it may be down to a bug I experienced earlier on. I've done a quick search for previous discussions but only found a thread on github support not answering for 40 days. I had the student education pack for some time at my old university. Then, I moved to another university, and was asked to re-verify my student status as the old license expired. I then sent in an application for renewal, but I instantly lost the student-pack PRO status (e.g., unlimited Copilot) in practice, but the PRO badge was still on my account page (for a month or so until the old license had actually expired). So for some time, I had an active student-benefits account, whilst an application was running. My completely unfounded theory is that this somehow has led to an issue, but I decided to just wait it out. Since it's been a few months now I figured it was worth a check on what I can do from here. In the past, my verification was instantly approved. I realised this was maybe because then I sent a .pdf proof of registration, rather than a photo. I am happy to re-upload and allow the automatic system do its check, uploading that .pdf now instead of a photo of my student ID, however I can find nowhere to attempt re-submitting the application. What can I do from here? Or is there nothing else to do except just wait longer? I would love to save everyone's time here and send in something that is easily readable and verifiable by the automated system, but I have the impression it is not possible to cancel an application and re-submit? I have the same issue. Could you please show where and how you submit the ticket? I tried the here from the response. However, the url cannot be found. I tried to open a ticket from "my ticket" but I don't see the option of "other". I have a free account, shall I upgrade to enable sending a ticket? |

Even though manual reviews aren't provided, I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select "
Other" and explain your problem, because 3 months is a very long time and certainly not usual.
