Offer way to hide name of video file

When I upload/paste a picture, the name of my picture isn't really shown to users, and i can present whatever alt text I like:

But when I upload a video, the name of the file is permanently etched into the video:

It looks like I might be able to cheat by etching it into something someone can't find, but that's a really lousy workaround. And yes, I can try to rename the file before uploading, but I really shouldn't have to.

I completely agree with this feedback. From a UX and privacy perspective, having the filename "permanently etched" into the video player feels inconsistent with how images are handled on the platform.

Why this matters:

• Privacy: Filenames often contain internal project dates, versioning, or personal naming conventions that shouldn't necessarily be public.
• Consistency: Images use Alt Text to provide context without exposing the raw filename. Videos should ideally support a Title attribute or simply use the Alt Text field to replace the filename in the UI.
• Professionalism: For open-source maintainers sharing demos, a filename like demo_final_v2_fixed.mp4 looks less professional than a clean, untitled interface.

Suggested Solution:

GitHub could implement a simple toggle in the markdown syntax or, even better, allow the bracketed text [Video Description] to serve as the display title instead of the raw filename.

This would bring the video upload experience to the same high standard as image uploads. :)
