Hi all,

am I missing something or is it not possible to see a list of my own activities?
I left a comment on a thread (which was closed) and hoped, that there will be some activity. However this did not happen, so I tried to find my own activity and was not able to. Maybe this would be a very useful feature...

Rather a sidenote/feeling:
Since I activated Github Copilot Pro it seems like my complete profile messed up. But here other factors might be influencing my feelings...

GitHub does not currently provide a centralized view of all your own activities (such as all comments). If a thread is closed and has no further activity, it will not appear in Notifications. Copilot Pro does not affect your profile or activity history. This is a GitHub limitation, not a user error ❤️

ok. thanks for your answers. I knew having feelings is a bad thing in these terms - hopefully github will make this work sooner or later. I hate having bookmarks to follow up things.

Hey Matthias, you're definitely not missing something obvious here. GitHub's activity tracking can be a bit scattered depending on what you're trying to find.
For your own comments and activities, there are a few places you can look. Your GitHub profile page shows your contribution activity, but it's mostly focused on commits, pull requests, and issues you've opened rather than comments. If you click on your profile picture and go to "Your profile," you'll see the activity timeline, but comments on closed issues or discussions don't always show up prominently there.
The best way to find your specific comments is actually through the notifications page. Go to github.com/notifications and look for the "Subscriptions" tab. If you commented on an issue or discussion, you should be subscribed to it automatically, and it'll show up there. You can also try going to github.com/settings/notifications and checking your participation settings to see if something got turned off accidentally.
Another option is to use GitHub's search functionality. You can search for comments by typing something like "commenter:yourusername" in the main search bar, or if you remember part of what you wrote, you can search for that specific text. It's not the most intuitive system, honestly, and I agree with you that a centralized activity feed for all your interactions would be really helpful.
As for your profile feeling messed up after activating Copilot Pro, that's unusual. Copilot Pro shouldn't affect your profile or activity visibility at all since it's just an IDE integration tool. Could you be more specific about what seems off? Are you seeing different information on your profile, missing repositories, or is it more about the layout? Sometimes GitHub does roll out UI changes that can make things feel different, but those aren't related to Copilot.
If you're seeing actual data missing or your profile displaying incorrectly, that might be a separate bug worth reporting. You can check github.com/settings/profile to make sure all your settings are still how you want them. And if something legitimately broke, reaching out to GitHub Support through support.github.com would be the way to get it looked at properly.
