Changed subscription from monthly to yearly and monthly quota did not reset #186721

Select Topic AreaQuestion Copilot Feature AreaCopilot Coding Agent BodyHello, I already used out the premium quota's for this month's subscription that I've paid for. But now with a new subscription and being charged 100$ today, I expect that this months quota to be reset, what happens with this month's premium quota's from the perspective of the new subscription? Am I getting in this case technically only 11 months ? Am I missing something? If I were a new user that never used Copilot and I would have paid a new yearly subscription I probably would have had access to the new premium quota of this month, what is different in me being a subscriber before. Can someone chime in here? Thanks. |

When switching from a monthly Copilot subscription to a yearly plan, GitHub typically keeps your current billing cycle usage period unchanged, even though billing switches to the annual plan immediately. So in most cases:
This means you are not losing a month, but rather your current usage period continues, and the annual billing applies to future cycles. If your quota does not reset at the next cycle date or billing looks incorrect, it’s best to open a ticket with GitHub Billing Support, as they can review subscription and quota timing for your account specifically. |
