Why are you starting this discussion?Question What GitHub Actions topic or product is this about?General Discussion DetailsI saw the same issue happened to other users but none of those existing solutions work for me. I'm working on a private repo with an open PR. It didn't build. Claude code review failed due to the same reason: "The job was not started because recent account payments have failed or your spending limit needs to be increased. Please check the 'Billing & plans' section in your settings". I updated billing address/method. Also removed all the budgets. Still can't get a build or Claude review. Any idea on the issue? |

It looks like your account has a billing problem. Even if you updated your card and removed budgets, GitHub still blocks builds if: A previous payment failed. Your account spending limit is too low. The repo is under an organization with billing issues. Check Settings → Billing & plans for unpaid invoices or limits. If everything looks fine, the only way to fix it is to contact GitHub Support and show them the error — they can clear the block. |
