What happened?

Starting somewhere around 2026-02-20 (yesterday) the uploaded artifacts are zip archives, but lost their extension.

See e.g. job https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/actions/runs/22254674823/job/64384585277?pr=26044#step:9:36 which uploaded artifact https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/actions/runs/22254674823/artifacts/5600808968.

Downloading this artifact results in downloading a file named OpenRCT2-v0.4.31-134-g5500ba86b7-Linux-trixie-x86_64, while OpenRCT2-v0.4.31-134-g5500ba86b7-Linux-trixie-x86_64.zip was expected. Note that logs also indicate .zip is part of the filename:

This was due to a change that was rolled out yesterday. We've rolled it back. You should see the .zip extension in the Content-Disposition header again.

@danwkennedy, is this rolled back for all the versions? I am seeing this issue with actions/upload-artifact@v4.

This is rolled out fully again. We haven't seen this specific repro since. I'd recommend opening a bug with repro steps instead of commenting here.
